How does Octopus choose the jobs in my Daily Picks? add
Each job is scored against your profile: the title you want, your seniority, where you want to work, your skills and the languages you speak. You see the score and the reasons behind it on every card. Swipe right on the jobs you want, swipe left on the rest, and your next picks get better.
Will Octopus apply to jobs without asking me? add
No. Octopus only applies to jobs you swipe right on. Before anything goes out, you can open the tailored resume and cover letter and check them.
How are my resume and cover letter tailored? add
Octopus reads the job description and rewrites your documents around it. It puts your most relevant experience first, uses the skills and keywords the company asks for, and writes a cover letter addressed to that company. Everything comes from the experience in your profile.
I found a job somewhere else. Can Octopus still help? add
Yes. Create a manual application and paste the job description. Octopus writes a tailored resume and cover letter for that job, and you download them and apply yourself.
How do credits work? add
One credit is one application. You buy credits once, there is no subscription, and they never expire. If an application fails to send, the credit goes back to your balance automatically.
